Cheezy cheap stuff again tonight - we almost always get a good laugh from these. Bonus with this one is the Micky Dolenz bit part, not to mention Tiffany and Debbie Gibson.

Saw two this week--Magic In The Moonlight and Calvary. Magic was pretty sweet for a Woody Allen film, but Calvary was excellent, but dark and difficult to watch.

My kids and I watched the original Planet of the Apes on a blu-ray that we borrowed from the library. I had never seen the whole thing in one sitting before. Nice picture on the BR! My kids enjoyed the movie; They finally got the reference in Madagasgar!

"Locke" - I really wanted to like it, but it was profoundly boring.

Took my old man to see this for his 70th birthday, and he enjoyed it. Definitely a "light" movie overall, but fun and entertaining, especially on 3-D IMAX, with a terrific 70's "awesome mix" soundtrack, which apparently is currently #1 on the Billboard 200: http://www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200

If anything, I thought the lead actor was a little flat, and he actually seemed to get upstaged by that CGI raccoon and the Ent-ish Groot. The latter was my favorite character, but I don't think I'm quite ready to purchase this:

Sin City 2. What a letdown. Too much been there done that. I'm a huge fan of the original but this one had pacing issues and weaker stories. Eva Green loves getting naked though( didn't help the movie)

Okay plot but I really find Liam Neesen to be such a wooden one-dimensional actor that I get so bored watching him that it spoils what may have been a better film. Maybe he's a good supporting actor but as a lead he's just dull to me.
