I don't have the original vinyl, only cd's. The reissues are flat, quiet and sound really good to me. Original UK copies may well be better, but for about £15 each these are worth getting. Nice reproduction of the covers and labels too.

Are there different sources for the deluxe and standard release of this reissue? I have the basic III and it sounds awesome.

I don't think so, no. You should be doing fine with the standalone versions. I only have the deluxe version, that is why I posted about those ......

François Bayle's L'Expérience acoustique, by Editions Mego (featuring a cameo by Robert Wyatt !).
Though that might be late 2013.
If it is, then : Jean-Claude Risset's Music from Computer, comprising "Sud", "Mutations" and "Computer Suite from Little Boy", Editions Mego as well.

    In no particular order:

    Bob Wills - Transcriptions
Anytime you can get great sounding Bob Wills you have to take it.

Johnny Cash - With His Hot & Blue Guitar
ORG makes sure every 'ca-chunk' comes thudding through your speakers.

Judas Priest - Screaming For Vengeance
MFSL Silver Series does 3 Priest lps - all very good. This one in particular held up against the original, and even surpassed it in some points.

    Garcia/Grisman
The biggest surprise of the year - if only because it's never been available on vinyl before. Amazing job by MFSL again, extremely intimate sound, like these guys are in the room.

Dire Straits - On Every Street
High price point - so buy it on sale. But the pressing is as quiet as can be - which is of import for this release.

Blue Oyster Cult - Secret Treaties
Speakers Corner shows why they are the best company out there in my opinion - and what a choice of a title - wish this band got more audiophile treatment.

    Sade - Strong Than Pride
It's Audio Fidelity - it's Kevin Gray - not much else to say. The bass comes through your speakers like a Boa slithering down the Amazon.

    Miles Davis - Bitches Brew
    I met Miles Davis.
(gratuitous name drop to finish this list off )

The Music Matters Blue Notes are wonderful. Everything you could ask for with a reissue--all analog from master tapes, top engineers, stunning packaging, and a product that outshines the original.

I was really happy to get this on vinyl - and not have to pay $90 for that privilege on eBay. Nice packaging, and it sounds great.

All the KISS reissues. Music from The Elder may be one of the best-sounding LPs in my collection.

All the AP QRP-pressed Prestige Mono series. And the covers are incredibly well-built too.
