How many are buying more than one copy?
One to listen to and one to keep in mint condition.
How many are buying a "regular copy" and a Japanese Obi copy?
How many have a red mono box, a black mono box, all the UK first press mono LPs and still buying a copy?
How many have the mono CD box and buying a copy?

This could be a nice forum survey (I don't have the time to set one up)

Some Beatles VJ 45's sound pretty nice. However....Monarch pressed VJ 45's using styrene instead of vinyl, usually sound pretty bad. I still think nothing tops an ex-nm UK 1st press for any Beatles singles.

This would be a very good idea.

I don't think I could tell the difference in sound from a new styrene to vinyl. How would you describe?

I thought GZ was not pressing these? Wasn't Optimal to be pressing these? I thought there have been many complaints about GZ presses?

I'd like the set on wax cylinders.

Exactly my point! Had me a little concerned to think GZ were involved.

They may just be packaging, or perhaps demand was greater than anticipated. GZ gets lots of criticism, but I'll say it again: my boxed Stones vinyl set was uniformly excellent in pressing and quietness.

Styrene wears quicker than vinyl. An unplayed styrene 45 might sound OK. But most VJ and Swan styrene pressed Beatles 45's that have worn playing surfaces, sound very noisy and distorted. Compared to a well played vinyl 45. At least in my experience.

Im buying the Japanese Version to listen to, and a regular box to keep sealed. Then im gonna compare the new box to my 1986 Japanese Red Mono box, and UK original monos.

If I could afford to buy two copies, I would.
