Looks like George won the release day showdown -- they were probably delaying the announcement while they waited for Paul to blink. Press release for "The Apple Years" box should be forthcoming any time now...

As disappointing as this news is, I personally am kind of glad since my wallet can use the break (unless of course the Harrison box set sneaks in, but at this point I doubt it will be coming out before november)
Like Pawnmower said, at least it's not being cancelled, only delayed a few more weeks.

The whole production issues story is ******** I suspect. It has to do with the Beatles mono box and the competing releases by Dylan and the likes (maybe Harrison as well). They want to reach optimal sales and have decided that they won't win in September.

Or maybe they had to clear the way for a surprise, unannounced new recording he's releasing next week.

 

Wasn't there a fully produced popsong from the videogame he was to release as a single one of these days?

 

Right. And a new recording is coming. Announced. Paul's theme song for Destiny, that will be launched as a single (so they said) after the release of the video game, on September 9th.

 

Production Issues:

 

He will have to get them back from Heather first.

 

Dylan is being released in November, so that seems unlikely.

 

My source tells me that the summer intern who was in charge of the Venus and Mars release got mixed up with the planets theme and decided to incorporate Uranus as well.

You don't want to see the cover. Trust me, it's not all balls anymore.

 

It's the opposite approach. Paul is UNafraid! He wants to go head-to-head with Bob. They both are releasing their respective projects on November 3/4, and they both will be battling it out. This is going to get ugly for sure. Arnie

 

But Dylan's out in the very same day....it'd be worse, I think. Terrible news, methinks.

 

The cover of Venus and Mars is gradually morphing into the cover (front and back) of Two Virgins.

 

Unfortunately, I don't see this as reason for the delay. Maybe it's really production issues. Sometimes it's the only truth, rather than the usual lies.

 

I think Paul will see sense and delay his albums again
