Radio Stations Devoted To A Single Artist

It seems like whenever I hear the big Modern Alternative Rock stations they're the All Sublime/All The Time format.

What's the point of these? Just listen to the albums.

 

Most of these stations will play music that you can't hear on any albums.

 

If I'm listening to an artist only station, I want to hear ONLY things I can't hear on albums.

Lots of unreleased live tracks mixed in with the studio recordings.

 

There are all Grateful Dead streams on the WWW that have mostly live stuff such as this: http://www.gdradio.net/

 

I believe there is still a 24 hour Elvis radio station at Graceland and 24 hour movie/concert channel in nearby hotel rooms.

 

There are lots of 24 hour Elvis stations on the WWW as well as the one at Graceland on SiriusXM

 

How about a gangster rap station , it happened for 1 glorious day .

In 1989 Australian station Triple J was banned from playing F**k the Police by NWA , the stations staff went on strike
and played Express Yourself by NWA for 24 hours straight , it was played 360 times in a row .

 

Big fan of the Beatles, Beach Boys, and ELO channels on iTunes Radio. OK, not quite the same thing, but still...
