Huge Insound 50% vinyl sale

My copy shipped, I should have it tomorrow or Monday and will report back.

 

Can't wait to get my haul. My 11lb box of LPs seems to be on the longest trip ever from the east coast.

 

I ordered Mobile Fidelity pressings of Stevie Wonder's Music of My Mind and Pixies Trompe Le Monde and they shipped me Back to Black and 4AD pressings, respectively. To their credit, Insound refunded me the price of those records plus shipping and didn't want the shipped records back. I ordered two Dylan MoFi's and the Coltrane Ole ORG, and though they were all in-stock at the time I placed my order (and were listed as In-Stock on my confirmation email), they weren't shipped and are now listed as backordered, and I don't expect to receive them.

And then I ordered the Mobile Fidelity pressing of Dylan's Desire. It was in-stock when I put it in my cart, and switched to backorder by the time I completed my purchase. That one shipped. My friend who ordered the same record a good 20 minutes before I did didn't get his order filled.

 

I just received my copy. It's the 2000 Capitol reissue with bonus tracks, not the MFSL.

Got mine today. 2 cracked CD cases out of 4 and of course the above misadvertised non-MFSL "Music from the Big Pink" on backorder. Cracked CD jewel cases aren't that big of a deal, but dinged/creased LP covers are. Sorry to hear that's the case! Hope everyone who contacts them has a good experience regarding their customer service.

 

They refunded my Music From Big Pink without requiring me to ship the disc back. No harm, no foul.

 

Is the vinyl itself ok/playable? My package finally arrived today (after being misdirected by the USPS 2x) and Deep Purple Burn is obviously a customer return or something - the plastic was opened and the vinyl is all scratched up....like someone carved a zig zag into it!

 

The packaging was terrible on mine, but amazingly the covers were all in good shape. I couldn't believe it.

A few of mine had some corner dings , my real worry is i have played 4 of them so far & ALL of them have warps in them , they play but they really are on the edge on the 1st tracks of not playing .

 

Well aside from the horrible packing job, most LPs are ok. One, however, is not at all what I ordered and appears used. Great work. I won't be ordering anything from Insound again.

 

I've had two packages from the sale arrive from them, all the way to New Zealand, shipped in a couple of days.

No damages whatsoever, packaged with double cardboard And bubble wrap.

One Lp was mistracking all over one track, and they credited my account without wanting the damaged Lp back.

I've ordered a dozen more.

 

Their customer service for my order was excellent. They replaced this item for another CD and I was charged properly. So like you, no harm, no foul.

What's the best method to contact Insound for any shipping issues?
(I called the phone # on the Insound packing slip in the box; and the answering machine is Warner Music Group. Which is just a key-pad "dead end" unless you have an extension #.)

 

I think they have a customer service email address listed on their website.

Only had one title backordered - had a nice surprise yesterday when I received notice it had processed and shipped! Overall experience with Insound on my orders was great.
