  1. I like Thunderball too and I am not sure why it gets slagged so often.

I really changed my mind on Thunderball over the years. When I was kid, I thought it was a pinnacle.
Now, the underwater scenes have aged poorly and to my mind are too long.
I'd say it'n now my #5 or so. There's some classic sequences (the shish-kabob of the guy on the beach, the separating boat, the meeting at the start), but IMO it's too long.

    For me (just me!) ...
"On Her Majesty's Secret Service", the best dramatic Bond Film until Daniel Craig came along.

Pierce Brosnan always seemed too slight and Roger Moore too silly.

    1- "Goldfinger"
2- "Skyfall" (I'm biased as I was one of the sound designers on this one)
3- "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"

Wow, no votes at all for A View to a Kill or Licence to Kill?? Those have always been two that I really enjoyed.

    Top 5:
    1. From Russia with Love - Perhaps not fair, as it isn't the prototypical Bond film, but as the years go by I love this movie more and more.
    2. Casino Royale (Craig, not Niven) - Just a great movie.
    3. On Her Majesty's Secret Service - I do not apologize for liking this. I think Lazenby, story and filmmaking are all well above average.
    4. Thunderball - Not the best Bond film, but Connery really nailed attitude in this one.
    5. The Spy Who Loved Me - I still like this one quite a bit.

    In order of personal enjoyment.

    Bottom 5:
    Die Another Day
    Live and Let Die
    View to A Kill
    You Only Live Twice
    Octopussy

Add me to that list. I watched it recently for the first time since its release. I was underwhelmed.

I seem to be in a minority with Diamonds Are Forever. Camp as hell and arguably when Bond starts to get a bit silly, but great fun.

"Thunderball" isn't my favorite Bond movie, but Paluzzi and Auger ARE the two hottest Bond women, IMO.

And Martine Beswick was no slouch, either:

I voted Goldeneye mainly due to the N64 game and I always thought 'Bronholm' was underrated as Bond. Some of you may already know this:

Yes! Better than then recent Bond films combined. Joy to watch as well.
Is it time to revaluate it?

It's the ultimate guilty pleasure, full of 80's campiness. Certainly more fun than the recent Bond films, if nothing else.

    James Bond meets Star Wars.
So evocative of the time peroid.
John Barry's soundtrack really compliments the location footage .
What's with the Big Country score homage? :)
I also like the disco end credit theme music. I can't see the recent Bond films lasting as well 30/40 years time.
The blu ray tranfer is mastered in 4K.

Anybody know what the Bond film budgets were? TLD looked expensive, yet QOS looked cheap.

Probably easier to name a Bond woman (lead-ish role) who wasn't hot...I got nothing.....

I voted for Goldfinger, but honestly, quite a few to pick from. Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, and Thunderball.

goldfinger is the best bond film. moonraker is my favorite bond film. without moonraker, there wouldn't be as much room for the scores of parodies.

These films will always be judged by the main actor, Brosnan was the best IMO, Connery was the officer (the best for the male audience) and Moore was the gentleman
(the best for the female audience). Different personalities but these actors defined and redefined the MI6 agent, James Bond.

    My vote goes to Goldfinger.
