Well, long story short, I have been forced to move from a super large room that had my amazing sounding speaker set-up to a TINY room. I'm miserable. :(

As most people here, music is my passion. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a fantastic 5.1 speaker set up. I have literally 8 feet from the couch to the receiver and HDTV. No room behind me, so the surrounds would actually be on the sides of the couch. I've googled a bunch, but was hoping to here from users here that are happy with a small, small, small set up. Thanks for any suggestions.

Oh, at this point, I guess my budget ranges from $1000-$1,500.

    :)

I really like both of these. Two different price points but both very good. I bought the Orb system for my Father several years ago. I was really surprised by how well the system sounded. He want a small system for movies and occasional music and these fit the bill. I'm still amazed when I visit that these little round speakers and sub sound so good!

The second is at the top of your price range but are a must hear! A buddy of mine ordered at set last year and I set them up for him and got the sub dialed in. Awesome sound here! Bigger, louder and more lively than my fathers Orb set but, to be fair, the cost is almost $500 higher.

Can't really go wrong with either of these, it just depends on you taste. Each offer a return policy if you don't like them.
    Hope this helps!

Not sure of the pricing today but I highly recommend these, as an owner.

I have the XL for the fronts and center and the smaller ones for the rear but, for the size of your room, using smalls all around should work.
