Right, New Morning is 33rpm. MOFI have expressed a preference for 33rpm, saying they do 45rpm when the licensor requires it of them. They have not yet announced Street Legal. You can find the announced titles at musicdirect.com.

I bought the MoFi New Morning LP yesterday and was impressed with it. I couldn't A/B with my original pressing, since it's in storage. I noticed quite a bit of hiss on the MoFi. Is that normal?

Anyone know what kind of numbers these are being pressed for? There's space for five or six digits in the # box on back of them, or is that common for Mofi?

I don't know for certain, but I think it's usually 3-5k, and they sometimes go back to press for more.

I ordered Highway 61 yesterday from Soundstagedirect and while I was at it threw in Side Tracks since they had it on sale at a good price. Happy birthday to me! Can't wait to get em.

Glad I opted for the 'Bend in cover' copy to save a few $$$. When I opened the package there wasn't a mark anywhere on it.

Desire was the last one, I believe.

Thanks to an unexpected financial windfall, I was able to catch up on my Mofi Dylan LP purchases (I had only gotten about half of them up to now). Many hours of happy listening on their way.

One question, though.... Does anyone know how far Mofi is going with these? I kind of assumed that the series would cover all of the 60's and just the top-tier 70's albums. However, I now see Planet Waves on the list of upcoming releases. Are they going all the way with this???

On a side note, does anybody keep those Mofi ad inserts that come wrapped around the LPs?

Funny.. I never considered those "Mofi ad inserts" as something disposable. I consider them part of the package that helps keep the LP/CD/SACD more protected in their sleeves.

I never thought of them as advertisements (even though they have previous, current and future releases indicated on them).

So, obviously, I always keep them.

I keep them, also, for the same basic reasons.

Personally, I'm into recycling and have no use for tons of cardboard advertisement inserts. These pieces of cardboard take up a lot of space in a LP storage unit.
If these were paper inserts, I might hang on to them.

Think they're not going past Desire, so no Street Legal. Hope they do Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid though, even as a single disc release.

Apologies for being off-topic, but I can't help wondering why these SACD's aren't in mono, or include both mixes?
Isn't mono preferred by many for Bob Dylan's early albums? Seems like a missed opportunity to me.

I'm guessing it was a licensing decision by Sony, who released the mono recordings themselves.

And Rolling Thunder. The vinyl goes for silly money now.
