I don't know about topping, but these three are pretty good.

  6. Yes, by The Who with Tommy, Who's Next, and Quadrophenia (using some trilogy license here).

And by whom? See the rest of the entries.

I think you could go either way, I think the tracks from So had flooded the airwaves to the point where he had lost some of his mysterious persona that had resonated with me. My high school swim coach took me to see the "Shock the Monkey" tour (what DID that man have against monkeys anyway?)and The Call opened up for him and that show had an enormous impact on me with regard to it being a show that made you think "What the eff just happened?". Peter came out, shabadooed (urban dictionary) the crowd and walked off leaving everyone questioning reality a little bit. With So, he entered the same space as Phil Collins as I was still looking at music through my stupid, immature filter where if guys wearing Sperry Topsiders were listening to it then I couldn't be seen having anything to do with it.....even though I made a few exceptions but I had to draw the line somewhere and Peter didn't make the cut then.

Luckily, I figured out that Peter had learned a lot in between "So" when I was 17 and "So" when I was 25 and I welcomed him back to my cd rack. My wife had worn that tape out a few times by the time we met so in the interest of keeping her interested in my essence, I decided to give the album another shot. :nyah:

I would trade The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle for the River.

Indeed it did, and indeed it is. Sound Magazine was the last great Partridge LP.

Are we looking for a trilogy, or just 3 LPs released consecutively?
