Albums with more song-doctors involved...

    Checking out Maroon 5's 'V' it caught my attention the number of song-doctors involved...26!

    It should have been called 'Cedars Sinai' instead of 'V'.

    If the album would sell 10 million copies may be each songwriter would get dough enough to go out and have a fancy dinner. Otherwise they would wound up at Mc Donald's for a happy meal.

    Dang, that must be a new record, but then again I'm not really surprised. Pop music these days is so by the numbers.

    Well, songwriting has long been, as often as not, a collaborative medium and record making, production and arrangement, which these days are as much a part of making a pop hit as the writing of melody and lyric, even more so (probably today someone like George Martin for example would have gotten songwriting credits on records like "In My Life" not just for having written the baroque piano break but having come up with the production effect that made it sound like a harpsichord).
