I was surprised at how few films I have seen on this list which were released after 2000.

I have seen all 26 films on the AFI list but not on the IMDB list.

I don't think I want to bother counting, because it's such an awful list. Shawshank #1? Dark Knight #4??? :biglaugh:

I have seen all 100 of the AFI's most recent top 100 list, though. That was intentional.

That's a pretty bizarre list - I've only seen 76 of the titles.

Not counting films I haven't seen completely, I've watched 220 of these.

There are a lot more recent movies on the list than I expected. I wonder how often this list changes?

141, which doesn't count anything I saw just parts of on TV or shut off (e.g. "Se7en") or wasn't sure about (and there were a couple of those, frankly).

It's a pretty good list, and a good reference, although some of the relative positions were strange. "Wizard of Oz," for example, seemed pretty low on the list compared to what I would have expected.

This is by the way proof that "The Shawshank Redemption" is the most overrated film of all time. :)

This list is the product of college-age neckbeards.

89, there were quite a few I couldn't remember if I saw so I didnt count them. Probably closer to 100.

Seems like there is a lot of good movies missing from the list, but overall good picks.

Quite a few are somewhere in my queue. I don't understand the ranking

    I missed one, 140.

My initial guess was a male-centric ranking but I don't see Gia on the list.

The only people I've ever known to really enjoy that movie are bi-curious girls.

Any list that does not have at least one Marx Brothers movie or Mel Brooks movie is not worth considering. There, I did my first every thread crap.
