    A nice used Thorens TD 160 if possible. The Denon is very competent, and performs well.

    Yes, but also higher end than the RP1. P3-24 is the beginning of Rega goodness stock. The RP3 is also a recommendable Rega. That generation was much improved over the older models.

    I can attest to that, and you're certainly not finding a good one in clean condition for anything close to $100, as someone suggested.

    There is a ql-d2 on the bay for $40.00 for bidding 3 or 4 better or higher grade for around 125 to 150 so still a good bargin based on reviews on vinyl engine or a ql-f6 for 250

    an AR xa turntable from the late 60's......a nice one should call less then $300.....its performance comes close to many of todays expensive tables...honest:idea:

    I was referring to the higher end QL's - I know nothing about the D2 or the F6.
