A "new" Hendrix live album is supposed to come soon. I'm curious to know what it will be.

Finally, some concrete info on Lucinda Williams' new album (that did not come out in the Spring!). Looks like a late Sept. release according to today's Austin paper:

Lucinda double album: It’s been a couple decades since Lucinda Williams last lived in Austin, but the renowned Americana singer-songwriter still has strong ties to some of the city’s musicians – including keyboardist Ian McLagan, who turns up on “Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone,” a double-album set for release Sept. 30 on Williams’ own Highway 20 Records via Nashville affiliate Thirty Tigers. Other contributors include guitarists Bill Frisell and Tony Joe White, Elvis Costello rhythm section Pete Thomas on drums and Davey Faragher on bass, and Wallflowers leader Jakob Dylan with a duet vocal on one track.

It would be about time, really.

Hope its not going to be as Questlove joked, to be released in 2042...
