I'm still not a fan of Hapworth, and not in a "It's not Catcher in the Rye" way; I love Nine Stories and Raise High almost as much as Catcher. It's just that somewhere along the way Salinger began to express his sizable ego (a Vedanta no-no) vicariously through Seymour Glass. (I understand there are different interpretations for who Seymour is supposed to represent.) The Seymour hero-worship is a major turn-off for me in Salinger's writings, and I hope it doesn't continue in his (possibly) yet-to-be-published works.

I still can't see Captain America allowing anything new to be - officially - published, unfortunately

Between him and Salinger's also highly-protective widow, I'm afraid that could be the case. There's been essentially no follow-up to, or confirmation of, Salerno's publication claims since the release of this book/documentary.

Could be the opening of the floodgates, but more likely, it'll be the opening of litigation.
