Adorama (legit major online retailer) has blowout pricing on the Ultimate Ears 500vm in-ear headphones. These originally retailed for about $90. They have them for $14/pair shipped:

    http://www.adorama.com/LOG500VM.html

Logitech basically closed down the consumer division of Ultimate Ears, even though they had some of the best IEMs available. These are very good sounding in-ear headphones--assuredly better than ANYTHING else you can buy for $14. Good, balanced sound--not too boomy, not too bright. Mids may be slightly recessed, but overall these are pretty neutral--a BIG plus IMHO.

Their biggest con is that they're a bit fragile...

These are the 500vm, which are compatible with Android phones (microphone + slider volume + button to pause music and/or disconnect/answer calls). Not sure if the microphone works with the iPhone (they make a 500vi for the iPhone, but it's not on sale).

    What's Included With This Item:
    • Logitech Ultimate Ears 500vm Noise Isolating Headset
    • 5 Pairs of Silicone Ear Cushions (XXS, XS, S, M, L)
    • Pair of Comply Foam Tips
    • Carrying Case
    • User Documentation
    • Smartphone Adapter
    • Logitech 1 Year Warranty
The Comply tips themselves would run you about $5 a pair...

Good reviews on Head-Fi, and these reviews were written when these were considerably more expensive:

Wow. And the package only weighs a few ounces. I guess someone from Adorama accompanies the package to Australia for you.

Thanks for posting. I've been using the non microphone version of these and really liked them for the money. At this price it's a no brainer to get a pair with the mic built in.

Thanks for the tip. I bought a pair.

Keep the deals comin,' people. I'm helpless before a bargain of something even moderately close to my wish list!

Maybe I'll be able to use mic to talk on phone while driving, at long last. I think it was a decade ago that I last had a mic for my cell phone. It was soooo noisy that I had to blast the phone. Altogether unpleasant experience. Hopefully this one will work better.

I don't need another set of earbuds, but I figured this would make a nice Christmas or birthday gift for a friend of mine. Thanks for the tip.

Got mine today, but haven't tried the mix with the iPhone yet. The volume control and button work tho.

Received mine today via economy/free shipping. I've not had much time to test them out yet, but they sound good so far. The little extender plug does not seem to work with my laptop. I'll try them tonight at the gym.

The mic and the volume controls work fine with my iPhone 6. They sound great for music too.
