I think she's fabulous. What else has she been in that I should check out?

She was excellent in the far-too-short-lived Starz sitcom Party Down.

Lizzy was on full display this week's episode...

I still think Masters wife is prettier. Maybe it's just the way they dress her.

I first saw Lizzy in "Cloverfield," and she did a great job in Sesason 1 of "True Blood." She's since been on "New Girl," and I think many remember her from "Freaks and Geeks."

Speaking of this week's episode, I thought the writing was particularly good on this one!

I thought it was pretty staggering - the hotel room scenes were legit theatrical level.

Yes. I'm watching it now. I wish more shows ( including this one ) would have scenes as well written and character driven as this hotel room scene I'm watching. Great unhurried acting and chemistry. Give me more of this kind of stuff on TV.

It took me a few episodes to really appreciate this series.

The writing and acting are excellent. Lizzy Caplan is devine.

The hotel room episode with the boxing match was so good I had to watch it twice.

The acting between Bill and Virginia in the motel room has been great this season.

They have great chemistry between them much more than Bill's wife Libby.

Took me a long time to get that. The opening titles to this show make me laugh every single time I watch them...

Funny, clever, visually beautiful... and it sells the whole idea, too.

I just finished the first season and I love it. Great show, great actors, especially Lizzy Caplan. Can't wait for the second season.

I think Libby has finally seen the light regarding Bill + Virginia.

    Didn't see that one coming...

I thought the final was a little lackluster.

Still a great show and can't wait for next year.

Has anyone read any bios on Masters and Johnson to know how accurate this show is? I love the show, am just wondering how many liberties they are taking with the truth. I read a few short bios on Masters but very little info was written about his childhood and the traumas he went through that the show implies.

Is it me or is Lizzy Caplan showing her breasts more this season? I mean, every episode has her taking her clothes off. Not that I'm complaining, but my wife is; all she gets is men in old baggy boxer shorts!

Neat little twist there involving Beau Bridges at the end of the final episode of season 2.

The show was based on the biography Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, but I don't know how accurate it is. Lizzy Caplan has said she attempted to contact Virginia Johnson before she died just to have a conversation about her role on the show, but apparently Ms. Johnson was in ill health and unable to meet. My impression is a lot of the show is invented and exaggerated, but the essential details are correct: the two did have an affair for several years before Masters divorced his wife, Johnson never did get her doctorate degree, they did write a best-selling book on Human Sexual Response, and Masters did encounter a lot of controversy and had to change hospitals several times in the 1950s and 1960s because of the nature of his study.
