Not sure why this is but AMAZON are listing this at £51.99 AND £27.80. But to get the cheaper price I had to click through to other sellers BUT select AMAZON from the list at the lowest price.

USE THIS LINK FOR CHEAPER PRICE:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B008RLD1VY/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all

Its not a third party seller, and mine just shipped from Amazon minus the VAT as usual so makes it even less......:) Ive been watching this for ages and this is the lowest price so far...;)

Sorry I posted the above deal here by mistake BUT it's such a good price, and is region free, I think I'll just leave it here. So please don't get confused, it's Amazon UK and ships from Europe minus 20% VAT.

The description says it's in Italian. Will there be language options?

I hope it's not in Italian! I reckon it's an error maybe? I'll let you know when it arrives. Otherwise Marcel will be happy!

I've written Amazon UK an email asking about the language. Would it really all be dubbed with Italian, and have English subtitles? Not quite sure how these things work, especially with blu-Ray. Maybe it's a mistake? I'll post what they say.

They look to all include English in their audio options. In typical Amazon fashion, the description is misleading. These foreign releases have always featured several audio options, inc, Italian. Problem is, whenever Amazon leaves off the other 24 language options, somebody thinks the only one listed is the only option. If you're going to shop outside the US, you've got to learn, and retain these things. I've been since 2008, starting with DVDs. Same thing.

My Sopranos Blu ray box has a hundred different audio options, what does Amazon UK list ? English. But that choice keeps everyone from asking questions it seems.

Cool thanks. So at least I don't have to learn Italian for "Quick, get out of that shower NOW" ;)

No sweat, I taught myself these weird online shopping things, when I was sitting in a cubicle, at my old employer, and now they're helping others.
I've always thought it was pretty cool to look at the myriad of languages on the audio options menu, compared to the blandness of US releases.

I know this has been covered before, but will these UK sets play on US/Canada blu Ray players?

It is a case by case situation Dennis, I bought 2 Blu-ray discs from Europe that will not play on my Marantz player, but fortunately they play on my older Cambridge unit.

It's as Myke says, as long as it's REGION FREE you won't have problems. I have to watch this in Australia, as we are in a different region to USA. But all the discs marked as above will be fine. My Universal Monsters blu-Ray set is also region free and I know that works in USA as many people here grabbed the cheaper AMAZON UK price at the time.

Whether you can speak Italian is a different matter lol! ;)

This is useful.....grabbed from eBay of all places! Sorry for the slight diversion from deals.

This guide will help you when buying imported Blu-rays by assisting you in determining whether or not they will play on your blu ray player.

    Regions:

Blu-Ray discs have region codes which have been separated in three different zones.

Region A: North America, Central America, South America, Japan, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
Region B: Europe, Greenland, French territories, Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Region C: India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Mainland China, Pakistan, Russia, Central and South Asia.

However, many discs have been encoded to support all regions virtually making them REGION FREE.

    Region free studios:
Generally until now Blu-ray releases from Warner, Paramount and several other studios have all been region free. Please look below for a complete list of the studios.
This of course does not guarantee that future titles from these studios will be region free. But judging from the history, it is very likely that future titles from these studios will be region free.

    Warner
    Paramount
    Starz / Anchor Bay
    Magnolia
    Razor
    Platinum Disc
    Eagle Rock Ent
    Concert Hot Spot
    R&B Films
    BCI
    HBO
    First Look Pictures

    A-bit-of-both studios:
Sony, Lionsgate and several other studios are a little more unpredictable in their region coding of Blu-ray titles. They have all released region free titles (like Sony's 6th Day) and region locked titles (like another Sony title: Casino Royale). When it comes to future releases from these studios, we recommend that you wait until they come in stock and have been tested.

    Sony
    Lionsgate
    Touchstone /Disney
    Disney
    MGM
    Miramax
    New Line
    20th Century Fox
