I'm glad you didn't. We arthritic-fingered people don't enjoy handshakes!

That's pretty awesome too! I must say Samuel L Jackson was VERY hard to miss. He's tall, unlike most actors who look tall on screen but I guess are supposedly short in real life.

Bob Dylan is the jester who shows up at the castle around midnight and leaves early with the queen.

Bob Zimmerman created "Bob Dylan," the same way that Elvis Presley created "Elvis Presley."

That clip is about the extent of my Pawn Stars viewing, but the fist bump had to be the doing of Chauncey and not Zimmy, right??

Uhh, I don't think I'd want to shake "Chumley's" hand. (I was amazed they paid $75.00 for a copy of Self-Portrait!)

Oh, yes, Chumley!! My god, even worse.

And yes, that pricing is ridiculous.

I saw Robert Plant in Wax Trax! Records in Chicago back in the early '90s. Talk about heart skipping several beats -- !

  18. I'm coming to this late, but what an excellent post. I've sometimes wondered what I'd do in the same scenario. I'm afraid I'd blow it and ask him about the lyrics to 'Gates Of Eden' or something.

Fantastic! I have a similar story - April '97, downtown Northampton, MA, waiting for the light to turn to walk across an intersection, and a guy in a hooded sweatshirt on a mountain bike is waiting next to my and my girlfriend. He initiates smalltalk with us until the light changes, wishes us a good evening, and rides off. Mindblowing.

I'm pretty certain that once we have don't have Bob anymore, and his oeuvre is looked at in hindsight, that (most of) his 2000's output will be regarded as highly and as important as his mid-60s output... and folks sharing the opinion of the author of the posted article will be viewed as yet another "Mr. Jones."

Bob Dylan is a character from Mark Twain.

  25. On a good day he is an eccentric musical genius, on a bad day he is a pain in the neck and on every other day he is everything inbetween. :)
