Those feet on your stands don't look like the feet on mine. What gives?

Why thank-you very much. I started collecting vinyl at the age of 13, and never stopped. 36 years later and the passion remains as strong as ever.

Yes sir. I have a handful of Canadian holy grail original LP's, including Rockadrome and The Haunted. In fact, Rockadrome is on the stand next to the turntable. Pretty yummy stuff, if you appreciate psych.

Love the Sony Reel to Reel in the top left corner. Brings back lots of memories.

It really is a beauty. Funny thing about how that came into my possession. About 2 months ago I was walking my dog, and a neighbor had loaded a trailer with a bunch of stuff that he was going to take to the dump. On it was the reel to reel unit. I thought it was probably trashed, but I took a look, and the thing looked virtually brand new. I knocked on the door, talked to the guy, and took it away for free. After a good cleaning, it worked, and was about as close to perfect as it could be in terms of physical condition. My lucky day, I guess.

    Indeed it is!

    Here's the website.
I ordered them locally through a hi fi shop.
Not cheap, but they are incredibly heavy and dense. I'm unsure what exactly they are made of or coated with, but the pebbled surface doesn't mark up at all and they seem to grip even hardwood.
I had to put small pieces of bicycle handlebar tape on the bottom of each just so I could slide/re-position the speakers occasionally.
    I highly recommend them.

Great room! I'm curious about your wall unit. It seems to be very heavy duty and those LP shelves don't seem to be sagging at all under the weight. I would LOVE to have some of my collection in the living room with doors to hide everything away. May I asked where it was purchased?

Thank-you. I agree that this unit is very sturdy, and strong. You may be surprised to learn that I custom created it from the components that were available as part of the Ikea "Besta" collection. I have zero complaints with the strength and quality. Here is a picture with the doors closed, for the clean look:

Is the center component unit also from Ikea - if so what model? Looks great by the way.

It's also a Besta component, but since I bought mine, they have made the bench narrower, and the new bench will not hold deep components like I have. I was lucky to buy when I did. I think it's called an entertainment bench, if you look up the Besta collection. The new one is about 4 inches narrower, down from 23" to 19".

That's pretty cool. They don't make 'em like those anymore...well, they do but at a high price. I paid a pretty good penny for my JBLs!

Some photos of my headphone setup.

The DAC I use (not pictured) is a Eastern Electrics Minimax.

But it goes: EE Minimax DAC - Bottlehead S.E.X - Audeze LCD-2

is that a Foreplay? and if so, do they work well with planars? Been considering a foreplay for my HD600's...wouldn't mind a pair of planars down the road.

Unfortunately I don't know much about the foreplay model. Mine is the S.E.X model.

I've used HD600s with this amp extensively and it's a very good amp. The Bottlehead Crack (have owned previously) is famously good with the HD600s (and excellent value) and I've found the S.E.X to be a step up from the Crack.
