  1. Not his biggest fan as I find a lot of his work to sound kind of . . . "ordinary." But there's good stuff in there. These come to mind:

The Loner (although Stephen Stills' version is better)
    The Painter
Only Love Can Break Your Heart
    Harvest Moon
    Mr. Soul

Don't care for his work with Crazy Horse at all even though I generally prefer hard rock to acoustic folk. But I just don't think he's a convincing rocker at all, and he's not a good enough guitarist to make that music really groove. I do like his acoustic playing. It's not perfect, but there's more soul to it than I hear from his electric.

It's OK. But I don't find the narrative interesting or profound and it's hard to tell what the point is. Except family = good, corruption = bad.
It would have helped if the music had been more interesting.
As Neil's said: "When I was writing this I had no idea what I was doing, so I was just as surprised as you are"
    Gotcha.

My go to Greendale is the audio copy I made off the DVD of the acoustic performance from Dublin. This is how I learned the record and I think it comes across much better than the electric one, though it has helped me to appreciate the electric more. It has one of my favorite Neil lines: "Back in the day, folks wore what they had on"

God I love Over and Over and Change Your Mind.

Two early 90s underrated near-classics, imo.

"Over and over again my love
Over and over again with you"

Check out this version of CYM :)
