Yeah, I was thinking it looked like they had bumped up the price on some of these before applying the advertised 15% discount.

Totally but now the cheapest way to get Here To Stay.

Just the Elvin Jones titles. As for the others, ignore the numbered editions they have artificially inflated and look for the regular retail copies. The OOPs are higher though (I already have them all).

    Thinking I might order:

    Sonny Clark, "Sonny's Crib"
    Freddie Hubbard "Goin' Up"
    Paul Chambers "Quintet"

but maybe replace one and get Curtis Fuller "The Opener" instead.

Thoughts? I have not heard any of these before.

My other thought is to get Dexter Gordon - A Swingin' Affair instead of Paul Chambers on the list. That would complete my collection of 45 RPM Dexters from AP and MM.

Curtis Fuller "The Opener" is sublime. Essential.

I'd say wait for an official announcement... If you check the history of this thread you'll see references of Maiden Voyage and Art Blakey's Indestructible, I don't think they would just offer it as bonus, unless something went horribly wrong with their deal with Blue Note !

Of the ones you listed, my favorite is the Dexter Gordon, which is my favorite Dexter period (amazing sound quality too); also, both the Paul Chambers and The Opener are really great. I'd get those 3. Or just keep going until you have them all!

I actually have the Dexter Gordon, but just as the old EMI Pathe Marconi reissue, which sounds rather thin and lifeless. But I know what a great album it is. The other four I mentioned I have never heard.

I'm down to 19 titles missing from my collection. I have these to pick from:

    Sonny Clark - Sonny's Crib
    Freddie Hubbard - Goin' Up
    Paul Chambers - Quintet
Lou Donaldson - Lou Takes Off
    Hank Mobley - Quintet
    H. Silver - 6 Pieces of Silver
    Art Blakey - Indestructible
    Curtis Fuller - The Opener
Dexter Gordon - A Swingin' Affair
    Hank Mobley - Sextet
Hank Mobley Quartet - w/ Outakes
    Lee Morgan - Vol. 3
    Cliff Jordan - Cliff Craft
    Louis Smith - Smithville
    H. Silver - The Stylings Of Silve
John Jenkins - With Kenny Burrell
    Lee Morgan - Indeed!
Art Blakey - Like Someone In Love
    Clifford Brown - Memorial

A lot of great titles in there. I really like the Paul Chambers, 6 Pieces of Silver, The Opener, and Smithville. And you really need to hear A Swingin' Affair on MM -- it is one great sounding title.

And they just shipped my order. Sweet.

Now I am down to 16 titles remaining to get. Hopefully by year's end.

Is the consensus of our collective thinking here that the next two 33s will be Art Blakey's "Indestructible" and Herbie Hancock's "Maiden Voyage?" I'm trying to bring myself back up to speed. Thanks.

I really don't know where Indestructible came from. MM already did that as a 45. I think Maiden Voyage is coming. My money (or is that wishful thinking) is on Sam Rivers "Contours"

Lori did confirm to me that there were more titles coming for the 33rpm series. Also that Maiden Voyage was one of them.

I got my order of the three I mentioned a few posts above. I'll end up get them all anyway, hopefully by year's end.

My wife and both love Mobley, so that's is definitely a buy for us.

There was a picture of the Indestructible master tape on the same blog post that reviewed the Maiden Voyage test pressing.

In that article, they said that MM is releasing 25 albums at 33.3 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Blue Note.

You guys aren't telling me anything I don't already know. I've discussed both points in this thread, repeatedly.
