Definitely a bit of a different sound without Marty...but looking forward to hearing the rest. Peter Koppes has to be one of the most under-appreciated guitarists ever.

I'm only a casual Church fan but this album sounds really good. The single is OK but listening to the full album is hitting all the right buttons for me. Thanks for the heads up Jimmy.!

I didn't know they had any casual fans!

They have a huge back catalog so I urge you to explore further.

If you can live in digital world, flac and 320 MP3 are available now according to someone in another thread at band's website.

The release was delayed till January.
Us Aussies who pre ordered the vinyl last year were told that it would be available early December IIRC.
But in December I received an email about the delay.
From memory overseas folk who pre ordered were told that they would ship out in January.
So here we are......and still no word.
I might just email them tomorrow to see if they have an update on it's release date.

I recently received the vinyl and after my usual cleaning, the 2 discs are nice, quite and flat. Be careful getting the records out of the thick paper sleeves. They had a pretty good death grip.

I really like the songs Old Coast Road, Miami and Marine Drive. Overall, this record sounds like a lot of work and effort was invested. I like the addition of some piano and more harmony vocals.

I do miss MWP 12 string and great overall guitar but replacement Ian Haug fills in with the Church missing a beat.

After seeming them live (last night) I have a much stronger appreciation of the new lp. Songs like Miami, Toyhead and Laurel Canyon are excellent and live they are amazing.
