Quit a depressing list. Some goodies but a lot of self-indulgent nonsense there (IMHO). I went for Neil...

What about The Raspberries "Starting Over" from 1974? We don't get a whole lot of choices on that list, although I was happy to see Neil Young's "On The Beach," The Stones' "It's Only Rock N Roll" and Van Morrison's "Veedon Fleece."

Tough call. 1974 was just about the heart of my musical enjoyment of what was on the radio. I voted for Court and Spark but these were some of my other favorites that year:

Paradise and Lunch - Ry Cooder
Late For the Sky - Jackson Browne
    Tarzana Kid - John Sebastian
    Grievous Angel - Gram Parsons

    An arbitrary choice, though.
An excellent year for music, my year of birth.
    Many bands/artists with 2 releases.
Funny how everyone seems to forget about Roxy And Elsewhere and Queen II, though...

Certainly their pinnacle for me and an underrated masterpiece. Fails to make your '1974 top twenty-five' (well, I know you can't list 'em all), but one of my very favourite 70's albums.

Yuck, 1974 not a great year, I guess. Elton John's Carribu would be my favorite.

My favorite album of 1974 is Gene Clark's No Other, but as that wasn't on the list I went with Crime of the Century. But there aren't any bad albums on the list so it was kind of tough.
