Jet by quite a large margin

I dig the Beatles-y conjoined melodies (and frankly separate songs that he effortlessly blended together in band on the run, but overall the intro with the way too simplistic keyboard riff bugs me....it could also be that I've just overheard it.

I've heard jet just as much bit darn it if it isn't a classic!!

BOTR for me. Jet was never one of my favorites, until I heard the One Hand Clapping version which I prefer to the original.

Jet! I remember hearing it all the time on the radio as a small kid. The Wings hits bring back great memories!!!

Love them both, two classic songs, but Jet gets the nod for me.

The rehearsal version on the 25th anniversary Band On The Run release absolutely rocks, it's the hardest rocking version of Jet I've ever heard!

"Jet" has a really cool Moog(?) riff, but "Band on the Run" is a classic suite , and it's opening chords instantly evoke the summer of 1974....

Band on the Run (mainly the middle part; the rest is OK). Never cared for Jet.

As a result, I've always considered the BotR album "just OK". Never saw what all the fuss was about.

Funny, i was just listening to the DCC in the car on the way home. I like 'em both, but i don't prefer one over the other, for the simple reason i have no clue what either one is about. I mean who the hell are the jailer man, sailor Sam, Jet and the lady suffragette. :D

I voted for Jet but I only like it sightly better than Band On The Run.

While I really like Jet, Band On The Run is my choice. Mainly for the excellent groove on the "If I ever get out of here.." part

I already voted and picked Band on The Run, but I've recently learned to play Jet on the piano and, while I've always love it, I have a new found appreciation for it.

"Band On The Run" is an all-time classic. Multi-part, builds up nicely. Well played and sung. Strong lyrically and musically. Works both commercially and critically.

"Jet"is a good catchy basic rocker. The lyrics work more for their sound than meaning. Well played and sung. Good, but not the iconic type of song that BOTR is.

Band on the Run gets my vote. My two least favorite songs among Paul's hits are "Jet" and "Live and Let Die."

Very hard to pick one. Jet is a great, punchy radio pop song. BOTR is STILL a wonderful radio tune with a bit more substance to it.

Couldn't you have made it Jet vs Used To Be Bad or something?!

oh i will. if you choose to do it.

otherwise these redundant, constant, space-taking and inane paul mccartney threads will continue to annoy me and quite a few others around here. i do what i do, because i really do care, and i happen to speak up about it and don't mind taking the abuse for my posts.

seriously, which song do you like better?

    come on...........
