Almost went for the Collector's Choice deal. Too bad the shipping is so high and they charge tax. It brought my order to $105. I'll save $10 and stay with Amazon.de. I'll probably still receive it at about the same time...

Thanks I feel better now. The Amazon.de price is decent, the only hassle will be if a return is necessary. They will cover postage in full however should it be needed.

 

Yes, that was another site bought out by Import CDs or whatever you want to call it. It's probably easier by this point to list the CD retailers on the Internet not owned by them.

Switched my order from Amazon UK to Amazon Germany. Saving 20 odd quid! Hope the book isn't in German but I would still think it was worth it in that event. Surely Amazon UK must lower the price when word gets around..?

 

Wouldn't be so sure - I'm sure I wasn't the only one to alert them to the fact the Amazon Italy price for the Beatles mono box was way cheaper than theirs, but their price never budged from £288. Only £5 in it but I will remember them in the future, thanks! By the way, I am sure Amazon are all too aware what other Amazon outlets are charging; it's how much we are aware of it that is the issue. Perhaps Germany over-ordered?

I've only heard of Hive because someone gave me a book token (I wasn't even aware such things still existed) so, of course, I immiediately looked for somewhere I could buy music with it instead. They actually seem a quite pricey for most stuff, and in fact had the Dylan box for £112 up until yesterday, so they seem to be paying notice of cheaper deals elsewhere even if Amazon aren't.

I ordered with Collector's Choice. $89.99 To offset the &8.00 shipping costs I preordered my Macca vinyl sets and Zeppelin CD sets too The Macca vinyl; was $20.98, and the 2 CD Zep sets were $11.99 !! All shipped for $8.

Saved me a lot on my preorders!

 

I couldnt resist the CC deal. I said I wasnt going to pay over $100 for this, and the total was $98.93.

 

About how low do people think third party sellers will be on release day for the complete set?

 

IMO, not much, not that soon.

 

Hi Mike, I am sorry, but I don't understand.

 

That soon in the release timing, they're going to follow Amazon's lead, and price just a dollar, or two lower. Just my opinion from what I've seen online shopping. If you're trying to go lower than the $99. most of us have ordered, you're going to have to wait a while. Then again, I could be wrong.
Knowing this place, I'll be told otherwise before the sun sets.

I suppose if it's owned by Import CDs, I might not see it for a few months.

 

BT vinyl set just dropped to $69 on amazon. I pre-ordered it at $79 from bullmoose (my 1st purchase from them) and was wondering if they ever try to match the amazon "low" price. Anyone know?

 

No, but if you see their price drop as release day nears, just contact them, and ask for the lower price. Chris has said as much here, himself.

 

When will we know Best Buy's prices and if they will stock the deluxe 6CD set?

 

Why on earth would it matter? No chance it will be cheaper.

That's really a local question George. If stores in your area are going to stock, you'll have to look that up yourself.
