Good deals on amazon.ca - Updated as deals are found (pt2)

Amazon.ca has a bad habit of not ordering enough of stuff. It's very common to make a preorder with them and for them to not have enough copies on release day to fill all the orders. Right now I'm waiting for Zeppelin IV and the new Wooden Sky. Both were preordered well in advance and both are out of stock now. If you are determined to have stuff on or about release day, Amazon.ca is not a good place to order.

 

The price was right, so I can wait. I have all the DVDs already which I'm selling. As long as they don't cancel me, I'm fine. I just sent them an email about it. Maybe they'll up the shipping speed for free, which they sometimes do.

As far as the upcoming remastered Springsteen box goes - Canadian Amazon site has this for a pre order price of $51.48 (~$45 USD). Amazon.com's pre order price is $79 USD....

My ears still hurt from the last BTR remaster

 

Yeah, and for those that didn't read the Ludwig interview that marcus linked, RL relates a story about how Bruce told him the BTR remaster was how Bruce "originally intended it to sound for the first time!". It also mentions not to expect an overhaul on the BTR in this new set. Putting those 2 together, I'm not too optimistic, but we'll see. I'm still searchin' for that elusive #2 BTR mastering.

 

As long as they are not bleeding you don't need to see "the Doc".

 

That's my experience with the new Child Is Father To The Man SACD. I can wait though.

Not to be a naysayer but 6.50 Canadian less than the next lowest seller isn't really an insane price…60 less on an item would be an insane price…Still a good deal nonetheless depending upon how much shipping comes out to.

 

A new double LP for $11 is very reasonable. Or look at it another way; $6.50 off $17.50 is almost a 40% discount. I don't come across too many vinyl deals like that in Canada.

And I got free shipping.

And it shipped within an hour of placing the order.

The other seller , who is now the lowest at $17.50, is still a very fair price for a double LP in my mind. I got free shipping as well.
