THE most unlistenable recording I've ever heard, bar none.

I've put this off far too long.

 

I have a boxed set of First Edition stuff on Direct Source and that is indeed very poor sounding. 15 Greatest Hits is my go-to for this stuff and also the MCA Special Products All Time Greatest Hits series is worthwhile for more great sounding First Edition music on CD should you go further than 15 Greatest Hits, but for most, 15 Greatest Hits is plenty for great sounding First Edition hits on CD.
