Record stores in Toronto

Cool - I don't think I know the store but now it's only a 30 minute walk from my house.

 

I believe Sonic Boom will be set up at TAVES as well.

 

LPs has lots of electronic music and DJ 12"s - plus a healthy dose of rock/pop and hip hop. It's on the west side of Dundas just up from the pedestrian crossing of Roncesvalles.

 

New store! Tonality Records - on a Dundas just east of the Roncesvalles split, half way to Howard Park.

The owner is an 18 year old kid, and he's dealing with labels directly to supply short run indie records and tapes - primarily coloured vinyl.

He's got vintage equipment including amps, tape decks and turntables along with guitars and their amps. He will be offering service for turntables and amps soon, and it sounds like he and Lincoln from Good Music will partner to stock used vinyl.

 

I'll have to check it out...seeing as it's close to my 'hood!
