I can't compete with most of the people here because I don't usually go to more than one show of the same tour but I can mention that I have been to at least one show of each David Sylvian tour, which adds up to seeing him live 7 times I think.

Robert Plant - 29 times this November.

First time was Now And Zen tour in March 1988, and this Nov 21 at his homecoming at Wolverhampton, it'll be 29.

    That's made up of
4 Solo gigs (Now and Zen, Manic Nirvana, Fate Of Nations)
    2 Page/Plant
    4 Priory of Brion
    5 Strange Sensation
    1 Honeydrippers
    1 with Alison Krauss
    4 Band of Joy
    8 Sensational Space Shifters

which is not a patch on my good mate Dave Lewis who is up at around 120 Plant gigs now...!

They were pretty much the house band at CBGB for a good while, so racking up that many shows was easy. Best musical experience of my life.

What, no Zep? Maybe you weren't around for them. The eight times I saw them are the only times I've seen Plant.

You being from Wales reminds me that Man is one of the bands I've seen the most-- dozens and dozens of times. Them and the Dead probably 1 and 2, can't say for sure which is which

Which versions of Weather Report did you see? I'm curious because I saw them 4/5 times and each time was a different lineup.

  14. The Frames : 11x (I think) plus The Swell Season 2x and Glen solo 1x.
    Wilco : 7x

and a whole bunch of others at 3x and 4x.

I've started using setlist.fm to start tracking shows before I forget them completely.

I'm gonna post a multi view I haven't seen yet,

MC5, 2x in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the Speakeasy, 2 weeks apart. Apparently they were touring the area in support of Kick Out The Jams and they came, went, and came again. By far the most energy at a concert I've ever experienced.

Man, I'm blown away by some of these answers. I guess y'all had to do a lot of travelling to see some of these bands multiple times.
Some of the major bands like the Grateful Dead, Springsteen, Dylan, The Stones, etc., I can count on one hand the number of times they came through Louisiana!

Joe Bonamassa, over twenty times between 2002 and 2o11.

2/3 of those concerts was back when Joe had a power trio (Kenny Kramme on drums and Eric Czar on bass). Partied down in lots of Texas & OK clubs with bone crunching 'lectric blues! :righton:

  25. Devo crazy here too. I've seen them 6 times.

My dad worked for Pat Boone in the early/mid 70's. So I have seen him about 20 times. Most of those times on one tour. All 4 daughters were singing on stage with dad on that tour too.
