Fair enough. You couldn't pay me to live in Boston, so...

Mark, are they planning to keep things intact physically - the different buildings, etc.?

Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

You're just not one for the open wilderness? That's cool. Everyone is different.

I like the advantages of both. I love the city for it's conveniences and more youthful vibe, and I love the quiet outdoors, getting back to nature.

If you click through the auction there's a lot of pristine, first-pressing vinyl from the vault, including the original vinyl pressing of Dennis Wilson's solo album. I have a copy and it sounds superb.

I saved about 50 copies, so apparently I'm sitting on a goldmine! Or not.

Was considering a "supple wrist" reference but will resist the temptation.

Hello Mark - I'm a CU grad and a musician from the late 70's early 80's, having worked at Caribou. One of your posts states that you took a panorama shot (I assume of the ranch). That place was the most spiritual place I had ever worked. My question to you is: Would it be possible to obtain/purchase a large copy of the panoramic picture of which you spoke? I was reading about the sale in Denver on the 24th, and their listed panoramic picture caught my eye and started me thinking it would be nice to have such an image. My user name on the forum is RobP. Thanks for any response.

I should have posted this earlier....the Caribou auction is happening now and has been for about 2 1/2 hours, and it looks to have several hours to go. Stuff with a reserve bid of $40 ended up going for $2,750. Insane stuff. Even my article sold for $250! Anyway, it's still happening as we speak, and the Elton piano hasn't even gone on the block yet.

OK, I'll quit now. I wish I was a thief, because I could have made off with a lot of this stuff when I was cataloging their inventory!

Bump. Auction was supposed to be over an hour ago, but it looks like they still have a couple of hours to go.
