I came home from our Portland - Seattle trip with twenty or so albums. Totally drew a blank at Jive Time in Seattle. Once again Crossroads in PDX gave up a few gems. The new shop on Mississippi also yielded three keepers. Just now reorganizing my album shelves to make some more room. I cracked open the boxes I have in deep storage to see what I could put back out in the main library.. a few nice things turned up. Now to cull the main stacks. My wife doesn't think I have too many records... or guitars. That's a nice wife.

You might get lucky and score a sleeve, and lyric sheet. Watch out for the "dint" vs "dirt. great score

I have this one. It generally goes for around $50.00 in collectors' circles. Condition of the vinyl and cover of your copy looks VG+. You may just want to keep it, though.

Hit a small Grateful Dead grail the other week at Salvation. "For Dead Heads Only", a 1978 live boot on 3 LPs. They wanted $2 per LP, nice poly sleeves, no cover. These things go for $100 w cover. Very grateful! Haha

    More CDs today:

David Johansen - Live It Up
Jethro Tull - "M.U" - The Best of Jethro Tull
Jethro Tull - "Repeat" - The Best of Jethro Tull, Vol. II

All three had been marked down and put on the discount table at one of my usual haunts. Just $2.00 each. While I have several other Tull comps and box sets, I'd never owned these two on CD. Since they were the first two vinyl Tull comps I owned as a teen (not counting Living In The Past as a comp), I was happy to add them to the CD library. The Johansen I picked because I recorded him (on cassette) doing several of these songs on the King Biscuit Flour Hour in the early 80s and remember thinking he was a particularly good live act. I don't think I ever bought this on vinyl, and the actual King Biscuit show is hard to find now.

There was a large cache of late 80's-early 90s Alt. rock records at a thrift store I went to on Friday; ex-radio station copies, but as usual, mostly marginal stuff.
I did pick up a few that looked interesting:

Dream Syndicate - Ghost Stories (1988 Enigma US)
Ferron - Phantom Center (1990 Chameleon US)
Heretix - Gods & Gangsters (1990 Island US)
    Jack Frost - S/T (1991 Arista US)
Gear Daddies - Live Bait (1990 Polydor US)

America - Highway: 30 Years of America $24.99. Been on an America kick recently so it was good to track this down.

Also, was thrilled to find the Neil Young book Long May You Run - The Illustrated History, for $4.99 at our local overstock store. Brand new and they had a stack of them. I remember almost buying the first edition of this from Borders several years ago when it was over $30. I know it's not vinyl or CD but still was happy to run across this.

I've been looking for this particular disc for over 10 years and haven't found it, so I gave up trying fair means and applied money online to get it :). I'm happy to have my "We're In This Together" 3 CD single set complete.

The Call Reconciled alone is worth that. Well, maybe not $40, but it's one of the best discs of the '80s. Did you ever post those discs you got from me?

I did twice but apparently not here. here they are again. 10 bucks for the CDs. They are safely ripped onto the hard drive. A friend of mine really like the Sire disc.

    A buck for the girl.

2 bucks for the cover. The vinyl was near mint too. (Not from Retro Hound)
