When someone mentions R. Kelly, I think of the Closet Saga, or "Step In The Name Of Love".

So while I'm pretty far from the target demographic, I am familiar with at least some of his work.

That's one of the reasons it's so awful! :p

The chorus sounds vaguely familiar, but overall it's an incredibly generic-sounding R&B tune.

There is too many chapters to "Trapped in the Closet" that I lost interest after the 5th iteration.
Great choices. How about his breakout single "Bump N Grind"?

I can understand why you'd hate that song and Celine Dion. lol :p
Very generic but extremely catchy. That song and album (Chocolate Factory) saved his career after the molestation allegations.

:kilroy: I remember my babysitter would play that song every day for a few months straight. (Talk about child abuse:p)

Putting those two together is considered cruel & unusual punishment in some countries.

Does the Weird Al take on Trapped in the Drive Through count?

I know the original version of "Ignition," but I like the sinister Bonnie 'Prince' Billy live cover of it much more:

Never heard of R Kelly, so, no. I don't know any songs. Never saw Space Jam either.

The first song that comes to mind when I think of R. Kelly is "In the Kitchen." Then there's "Feelin' on Yo Booty." Then it's "Down Low (Nobody Has to Know)," which introduced Ronald Isley's Mr. Biggs persona to the world.

Read the lyrics to any of these three, and you'll know why I laugh, then shake my head in bewilderment and roll my eyes when R. Kelly's name is mentioned. The dude knows how to craft a song no matter how ridiculous the subject, but man, is he strange.

Is R.Kelly the person who stole a Belgian song and gave it to Michael Jackson, pretending he had written it?

Yes it's his singing abilities and melodies that he's known for not his ridiculous lyrics. :p Lol I do agree with you especially after listening to a song like "The Zoo". :biglaugh:

    No. That was someone else.

    I only know these songs:

    Ignition - Nice song.
If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time - Bland. Sounds like a ripoff of "Unchained Melody".
I Believe I Can Fly - Banal. Terrible song from a terrible movie.
