Rory is a real mystery, at least here in the states. For a guy who was that accomplished a player and performer, to have not really broken thru, and still never a mention for getting into the Rock Hall of Fame.... I just cant understand it. There is a Fender Custom Shop tribute stratocaster, so, at least guitar players in general are aware of him and his legacy.... but I dont think I know a single person who isnt a guitarist, who knows who Rory is.

So, perhaps there is no push to re-master or clean up those old albums, because there is the perception of not enough customer interest?

And yes, Irish Tour is one of the classics.

There have been some "remasters", but done in the usual "brickwalled" fashion. The original vinyl is great, but not easy to find (in good condition)
Rory was a cool guy, but did not play the "rock star" thing, so he is not as well known as those who were willing to compromise themselves personally.
