Not really psyche but Cliff covered a couple of songs from The Twilights' psychedelic Once Upon a Twilight album

Jackie Gleason made his last records before psychedelia hit it big.

Can anybody dig up some trippy Dean Martin?

Can you define what that "specific sound" is?

I like the song a lot, but it sounds to me like a non=psych country song.

I'm sure someone will say it's not psych, but James could blow your mind on the Moog:

Well, Tormé recorded "Spinnin' Wheel," whose lyrics are psychedelic to me. (However, stylistically and musically, it might not quite qualify as psychedelic. He transforms the song into something of a square ballad. Also, during the first half of the song, the music sounds to me like something out of a canteen from a scene in a Hollywood western!)

Only use of apparently backwards tapes on a Kinks record at the end.

'Lavender Hill' - probably a potential rival to 'Autumn Almanac' as the follow-up to 'Waterloo Sunset' - is also pretty hazy.

That said I'm fairly sure Ol' Ray never touched as much as a spliff. Very glad he didn't really, as acid would have probably felled hum.

Dave has a nasty episode circa 1970 with PSP or similar which nearly put him in a box.

Do Randy Newman's "I Think It's Gonna Rain Today" or John Sebastian's "Day Dream" and "Money" qualify as psychedelic pieces? How about "Everybody's Gone to the Moon" or The Beatles' "Maxwell's Silver Hammer?" Those are all numbers that Peggy Lee sang. Also, "Spinnin' Wheel" and Randy Newman's "Linda" (which she sings as "Johnny"):
