The Shindos have landed

Hi all. My move has been crazy and I'm not quite settled in. Was up past 3am last night installing acoustic panels on the ceiling after reapolstering them to match the ceiling (which is effing tedious). But I had to get it done because Matt from Pitch Perfect was en route with my Shindo's.

Got everything set up this morning. Took my maiden voyage with the Mogwai "Come on Die Young" box.

Still need to work on some acoustic treatments, but I'm pretty amazed at what I've already been able to do with my furnishings.

Listening to some Kraftwerk now and I'm blown away. I also got the Line Magnetic 515 CD player, but only played a few tunes before I had to get back to vinyl.

I'm sure they sound wonderful but it would be hard to describe those as having high WAF .

Fake bamboo. Outside the windows is a whole bunch of real bamboo so it looks cool when the shades are up.

They are getting delivered later today. Just using cheap RadioShack cable right now.

 

It's the same PrimaLuna I've had. Upgrading the amp in a few months.

 

How long until the Shindo preamp, amp and Garrard 301? Great looking setup, nice work on going a less conventional route.

 

Ha! I'm getting someone's Vosne Romanee as soon as his Giscours arrives. Should be late Dec or Jan. Amp after that. Then I'm done for awhile. Or so I'd like to imagine.

 

A disco ball and Christmas lights? Sweet. We had a room like that in college. Nice setup Brian. I recognize the house from the video. I love the outside greenery.

 

Just put the A23 cables in. Honestly, I've always been a cable sceptic but I heard the difference immediately. Bigger, more open sound. Listening to the new MFSL of "American Beauty". Sounds amazing.
