I also asked Santa for a brown vinyl Captain Fantastic & the Brown Dirt Cowboy LP signed by Sir Elton John, but I'm not sure I've been good enough to get that this year...

Just bought the superdeluxe edition of "Tommy", which I got for 57 Euros at Amazon.de. I'm still thinking about the new box set by the Kinks.

I buy one or two new records every month,so it isn't that big a deal.

My big presents were a few months ago, when I got a beautiful plinth for my Thorens from a guy in Moldova on ebay, and a few weeks later found a 1959 Magnavox Concert Grand on Craigslist for $125.

That said,I just spent $150, $75 each,on Discogs treating myself to two LPs,a minty UK original 1960 stereo copy of Crazy Times by Gene Vincent, and the 1979 German Polydor reissue of Black Monk Time, which I had been after forever.Cut from the original masters and metals,at the same plant as the 1966 original, and almost as rare. The original in this nice shape can sell for $1100-1200 so I'm happy.

    My "possible" list so far:

    "The Yes Album"- CD/DVD-A set
"Crime of the Century" - 2 CD set + maybe the single LP
"Lonely & Blue" - Otis Redding LP
I already have the CSN box set stashed for wrapping.

  21. Good luck!

  22. The Todd Rundgren At The BBC set, specifically for the DVD with the Bearsville Picnic film which has been a holy grail of mine since seeing it on the OGWT back in 1977. Hope I'm not disappointed.

My wife always asks me to put some CD's on an amazon wish list so I won't be given stuff I already have.

I've got the Blu-ray of Endless River, and the 2 Rolling Stones Vault DVD/CD listed and a couple of other things. I'm pretty sure my wife wants to get me the Springsteen box.
