Thanks for the update! One more box set I will be getting this Fall (turning out to be an expensive one!)

    Sounds interesting.

Let's hope the mastering will be done tastefully. Maybe Andy Pearce? I did like his work on the Deep Purple Mk. I set very much.

Nice set, but too much from the JLT era.

In on the CD set. I'll wait for reviews on the vinyl. Maiden just taught me that lesson.

I guess if you want Man On The Silver Mountain you gotta get the 8 album set.
The other set is a rarities comp it seems.

There are versions of almost all the bands well known songs, some the regular album versions

Yeah...you're right, the omission of their most famous tune in some form or another is a bit of a head-scratcher.

This is a Polydor compilation and thus covers the band's Polydor years only. The final album "Stranger In Us All" was released in 1995 by BMG.

There appears to be a snippet of Man On The Silver Mountain on disc one as part of a live medley.

its the bands most famous dio song but the biggest hits are from the JLT era and i think every hit from that era is present in some form but "can't happen here"

The first two Rainbow albums are not represented well on this box set! I don't like the track list I think I'll pass on this until reviews come out!
Not enough Dio era this box looks short on there best songs.
