The Who "Quadrophenia & More" show in Oakland, 2013. But I'm 5 for 6 with Who shows so I really can't complain too much.

Oh, and Page McConnell's solo show at the Fillmore (July '07--Phish was still broken up at the time). I left after seven songs. It wasn't happening for me. I love him with Phish though.

I didn't know that Gene Simmons made a Spanish language album. ;)

    Have you ever HEARD "Foretaste"?

Check out the "extra percussion" on Track 1, just for a taster.

Motley Crue's latest tour. Walked out 45 minutes into the show, during Nikki Sixx's embarassing rehashing of how the band formed (as if any fan of the band didn't know). The sound for the show was so bad that you couldn't tell what the intro was for the song.

I admit I've never heard of "Foretaste". Obviously it's a boot - what was it supposed to offer?

I haven't had anything since youtube made it possible for me to hear something first. If I don't like it, I won't buy it. In the old days, I've lost count--There were so many disappointments.

As far as concerts--Miles Davis was a disappointment on such an epic scape I still feel scars today and this was over 30 years ago. I'm kidding, but it was a huge bummer--not at all what I was expecting based on live albums.

"Foretaste" came in a beautiful deluxe color cover with a very exciting alternate cover picture (for its time). On the back was a (fictionalized) story of how this Sgt. Peper rough mix had slipped out. You paid whatever the store wanted for it, ran home with your heart beating fast, put it on the turntable ... and within seconds you realized you were listening to an off-line dub of the regular album with some genius banging a table to provide "extra percussion". They included one legitimate outtake (the "A Day in the Life" acetate, which could be found elsewhere). What a let down, what a rip off.

  11. I think it offers some asshat a lot of free money from all the fans that he swindled by faking a "bootleg", that's what it offers! hahaha
The dude's extra drumming can't even keep proper time, FFS! That's really sad...
Sounds like a high speed cassette dub made underwater, times 100! hehe
Surprised they didn't start singing along to have alternate vocals, too!

I can't say I've ever been to a show where I wanted my money back. Deep Purple's Come Taste The Band left a bad taste in my mouth I eventually resold the album after only one play

Olivia Newton-John's "SoulKiss" album. I hated it from the first time I heard it and still can't make it through. Berlin's "Count Three and Pray"-same story and truly dissapointing considering how much I loved "Love Life".

Michael W Smith and Amy Grant two years ago. The loudest and most out of tune concert I have ever been to. The bass was so loud even through ear plugs it was hurting my ears. The high notes were so loud my ears couldn't hear them clearly, it was all distorted and piercing. I took my Mom and she didn't have any protection so I was panicked about her for about 8 minutes.

I rushed her out as quick as I could and left after 2 or 3 songs.

Even when I got outside, I could see the walls of the church shaking. They ruined hundreds of people's hearing that night, glad I was not 0ne of them. Un-excusable.

I certainly double checked, because the music on the vinyl came nowhere near measuring up to the insane amount of advertising that went into promoting it.
And sure enough, it was the right album.

Which, CDs didn't exist at the time, it was vinyl.
