I look at other peoples collections as art, $ 0 to 100,000 invested makes no difference to me, they are all unique :) BTW my setup is way closer to zero

Thank you! Shame about your amplifier, but great news that you tracked down a replacement. I didn't know about the 9500II when I went looking for mine, or I probably would have shifted my shopping focus.

Drop me a PM if you're ever coming through central TX, I'd be happy to show you around and spin a few sides. :tiphat:

  11. A local carpenter made them for me, according to my specifications. He did a great job, in my opinion.

Love this thread! You guys definitely show where music stands in your lives with the first rate shelving and clean areas.....I still have to contend with U-Haul boxes:(

  18. I moved and have been relegated to an unfinished basement for the next while. It ain't pretty, but it serves my purpose.

Awesome collection. Just wondering why you don't condense them down in the lower shelves?

  20. I have 2 reasons for that. First, I like to keep space in each cubicle so I can flip through the LP's as opposed to searching by looking at spines only. And second, it allows me to grow my collection and insert titles into their proper place without having to move product. If I run out of space for the letter M for instance I'd have the shift every cubicle over to maintain them in the alphabetical order I want.

I paid someone to make this from an old closet in the basement. All maple.

From someone who loves wood, I really love that phono cabinet too. It looks like something a hobit would own.

You may have solved my storage problem. If I converted a closet to shelving in an efficient manner like that my collection would be much better. I can't do the work myself but I could pay someone to do it.
