The usual current stuff: Blacklist, Gracepoint, Walking Dead, Gotham, NCIS. I cut Bones loose as they just pissed me off too many times, and I'm about done with American Horror Story again too - just not keeping me interested like season one did. Also try to mix in some other stuff to get caught up with - Doc Martin (just finished season 4) and 24 (just started #2). If we're not sure what we want or just need something we can half-ignore we'll put on an old Star Trek (Deep Space or Voyager usually) or maybe Quincy or McGyver.
Happy Valley. After a weak first episode it got much better. Still too many stupid people. Suits. Still joking about Harvey Specter having a Spinners LP four seasons in.
Watched the series premier of '80s UK cop drama "Dempsey and Makepeace" on youtube. I remember this show was syndicated in the US and I would try to catch it at odd hours. Definitely need proper DVD/Blu-ray release in the US.
Finished Happy Valley series 1 last night, (I hear it's been renewed for a 2nd series). It's basically a miniseries shown as 6 one-hour episodes. I really enjoyed it and think anyone with Netflix that likes a good, tight police drama should find this quite enjoyable. A couple loose ends that I assume they'll pick up on in the 2nd series.
Doc Martin - we're into series 6 now, still loving it. 24 - we're 2/3 through season 2 and I gave up tonight, just gotten too ridiculously stupid (already) I gave up on this season's American Horror Story too as it just got silly. I am looking forward to seeing how Gracepoint turns out in the end, I've been enjoying that one a lot.
Deadwood. Great show, once you got used to the constant anachronistic swearing. But boy, what an unsatisfying ending.
