"She's So Cold" should be in any Ronnie Wood/Rolling Stones top ten list, but that top ten list is pretty solid. I have always found "It's Only Rock And Roll" to be highly overrated, but I understand why it has to be there. "Little T&A" is from the Ronnie Wood era and should be listed (although, I honestly cannot say if Woody plays on it, so perhaps it is not appropriate if that is the case).

I'd definitely include "Hey Negrita" in my Top Ten...and I will...when I think of the other nine!

Does Ronnie play on "Slave"? It sounds to me that there's only one guitar on it and that's Keith.

"She's So Cold" and "Let Me Go" were the first songs that came to mind when I saw the thread title. The 'weaving guitar' interplay of Keith and Ron was never more on display than on Emotional Rescue, and is the primary reason I love that record and consider it a classic.

    Ronnie's part was overdubbed later.

It must be my ears, John. I can only hear Keith's guitar. Even during both guitar solos, which are unmistakably KR, I can only hear bass, drums and keyboards behind it. If Ronnie's guitar is there, it's buried so far down in the mix it may as well not be.

I love Ron's blister-inducing solo on "You Got Me Rocking", which is even better live where he really takes off playing it with a slide. He does a mean pedal steel on "Baby Break It Down" too. There's that insane break at the end of "Out of Control" and the slinky dobro on "Already Over Me". He's got plenty of glorious moments on A Bigger Bang, too. Narrowing it to a top ten is really hard for me — I like everything mentioned so far.

Not very pleased with Ultimate Classic Rock's list...'Rock And A Hard Place' and 'Love Is Strong' are two of the Stones all-time weakest tracks, in my opinion, and 'Start Me Up' really shouldn't be at #1, even though it was a huge hit and should be on the list.

I agree with others that 'Hey Negrita' and 'She's So Cold' should have been on the list.

I would also have tacked on 'Crazy Mama' (even if it was basically just what he had been doing with the Faces haha) or 'Far Away Eyes', or 'Shattered' (although he only played bass on it, so I believe) instead of 'Dance Pt. 1'.

Precisely, and why they chose, instead, two of the most cringe-worthy tracks from the worst era of the band's era ('Rock And A Hard Place' and 'Love Is Strong') is beyond me...

Many people enjoy those songs (myself included) and they are standouts from their respective albums, both of which sold millions worldwide.

The B-side of this "Through the Lonely Nights" is one of my faves from this era . . . not sure Ron was involved though -- before his time.

It was recorded when Mick Taylor was in the band.

I love Ronnie Wood, but if I were to compile my ten favorite songs of his, I'm afraid no Stones song would make the cut.

    After giving this minimal thought...

    1. Faraway Eyes
    2. Crazy Mama
    3. Hey Negrita
    4. Shattered
    5. When The Whip Comes Down
    6. Baby Break It Down
    7. Emotional Rescue
    8. Doom And Gloom
    9. Before They Make Me Run
    10. Rough Justice

I'd have "Slave" very high on the list, but I'm yet to be convinced that Ronnie plays on it. If he does, I can't hear it.

Martin Elliott's book says Jeff Beck's original guitar parts in Slave were replaced by overdubs from Ronnie Wood for the Tattoo You album.

None of those songs is as good as the great Stones songs before Exile, but I always liked Hey Negrita. It's different, well-played, with an interesting meter.

    My second choice: Shattered.

I haven't read that book...and I still can't hear Ronnie's guitar! The only one my ears hear is Keith's.
