What is the point of the Pono Music Store being exclusive to only people who have a pono? Is this venture based on some kind of economic model named "Nah, we don't care if we make any money." Currently, only those who purchased the Pono are able to access the store to buy tracks. I don't understand the strategy. You can purchase a hi-res version of Deja Vu from the store right now. Why not make this available to everyone? Because nothing remains exclusive for very long in this day and age.

This isn't the studio album. A bummer.

So this isn't the famous 1970 album by Stills, Nash and Young then ?

I think "currently" is the important word here. The store is still in its beta phase. I'm sure it will become available for all once it's out of the beta phase (at least in the US).

Did Neil have Crosby erased from the album? Maybe he decided to take advice form Eddie Van Halen or Sharon Osbourne.

The 192/24 version currently is only preloaded on th CSNY Pono Players. When the store comes out of BETA it will be open to everyone and available on there and I'm sure these releases won't be PONO exclusive.

Deja Vu at 192/24 resolution is the studio album and not a live album. Included on my CSNY Pono.

Sound is incredible and brings out points of the album that I've never heard before. This is the definitive version.

I would like to know when this will be released on Pono. Currently they only have the CD version for sale. Why are they holding this back (and the other Pono exclusives like Buffalo Springfield)?

I've been wondering when Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Deja Vu Hi-Res Pono version will be available to purchase as a download, also.

I'm guessing that it will be whenever the powers that be at Pono decide it has been long enough that those that bought that signature edition of PonoMusic Player don't feel bad about it no longer being exclusive.

That makes sense to me, anyway.

I bought the expanded Hi-res Get Yer Ya Yas Out on Pono 2 days ago and I don't own a Pono player. When did it become exclusive?

That post was made when the store was still in beta, and only open to those who bought a player through the Kickstarter campaign.

The 1970 CSNY version of Deja Vu is on the Pono store at 16/44.1. Why not high res?

Should have checked the dates. Looked like a new thread at the time. My apologies.

I would get it at 16/44.1 now, if it was the new "Signature Edition" mastering.

    Looks like it is not:

I really like the fact that Pono is providing info about the provenance of its offerings, unlike any other download service. Bravo!
