This one's memorable for both good and bad reasons - bad, because TOTP telling Robert that "a man in a wheelchair is too disturbing for family viewing" (a battle which he won!), but also good, because

    NICK FRIGGIN MASON. :-D

Did anyone ever explain why, exactly, the US never caught on to Sparks (despite them being from here)?

    They're like TMBG before TMBG!

What about when professor Tony Rudd, fresh from his appearance on educational programme "Look Around You", performed his smash hit 'Machadaynu'? :p

Not quite, MP, not quite. You'll get to see the full Running Free performance when the episode is repeated on BBC4 in the new year BUT they also came back and performed Women In Uniform in '81.

I managed to avoid going Christmas shopping today, last Saturday before Christmas, probably sensible. But I will venture out at some point.

But as much as I love Wizzard and Slade I could do with some variety when shops are playing Christmas tunes. Playing this would be ace.

I have listened again to my "Listen With Nicko" for the first time in about twenty years and that's what Nicko said :)

Unforgettable if just for the outfits and a big blue egg onstage. Being a great song too helps.

    Were TotP performances always mimed?

Was just going to put this on as I assumed not a single person on this forum would've suggested it (let's be honest, "The Holy Bible" isn't really prime fodder around these parts...) Good on you!
