I did a quick search and couldn't find a similar thread...but maybe that's my old brain missing the obvious (probably)

I think most people remember the first record they ever bought...or were given.

Now is the time for you to fess up and confirm your age group to all on this community. Be honest please...don't just post the vinyl that you dreamt were your first IE Beatles etc..

For the record my first 45 was "T - Rex : The Groover", first LP was "The Wombles - Remember You're a Womble" and the first CD was "Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense"

The actual first LP I was given was "Holst - The Planets"...hated the thing with a passion.

    Post if you dare...

    What about first cassette?

I bought cassettes long before I bought LPs or CDs.

LP - Mickey Mouse Disco (? Lol I have no idea. But I bought a bunch of these kinds of records as a kid)
CD - Never Mind the Bullocks Here's the Sex Pistols

I really can't remember my first 45. I can't believe so many of you can. Lol I bought a lot as a kid. And I was a cassette kid as I got a little older. I went from kid LPs to cassettes. And again, no idea what my first tape was. The only first that sticks in my mind was the Bullocks CD. It was a big deal when I got my first CD player for Xmas and that is the CD I HAD to have.
