I don't understand your question. I was stating my opinion on sound quality on Edel/Ear.

I was asking for examples of poor quality releases by this label, I'm not sure I have anything released by them.

OK, but what have they released so far that you consider to be of poor quality, that's what I want to know?

Don´t own a single one of these releases because I´ve read all of them so far are poorly mixed and edited.

I thought it was a radio broadcast, myself.

I think they are supposedly brickwalled.

Very! And dreadfully packaged too, compared to the Sonic Zooms.

    What does brickwalled mean?

I don't have those, thanks for the warning. I'm not sure I can stay away from a mk2 recording though.

They aren't poor recordings, from my understanding, they are just mastered poorly.

How much more "brickwalling" can be donde with a sounboard tape compared to multi tracks? Is it the same?

The brickwalling occurs during the mastering stage, long after any multi-tracks have been mixed down, so it is irrelevant if it is just a tape taken from the soundboard, radio broadcast, professionally recorded mastertape, etc.

You're correct. I actually have two versions of this show now that I'm researching it. The sound quality is just OK so it'll be interesting to hear what the official version sounds like.

Haven't heard this one. Could be something to look forward to if the sound quality is good.

    a usa release?

  21. The vinyl version of Graz '75 is not compressed like the CD and sounds much better. Too bad my copy was totally warped.

I hope this '71 show will be released on vinyl also (for a most likely less compressed mastering).

Are you sure you saw them in MIami and not Orlando? Can´t seem to find a Purple 71 gig in Miami.
They were support band, gigs lasted for 60-70 minutes, concentrated mainly on lengthy versions of Child in Time, Mandrake Root and Wring that Neck.
