A good choice of hi rez titles, both titles I have ordered so far were chosen
as 24/192 FLAC but were actually WMA files.

The first time I complained, they made excuses, left it a couple of weeks to get
their act together and the same thing just happened. Not happy.
Such a shame as the choice is great and prices better than HD tracks in Europe.

Anyone had any success using them?

Might be your own fault getting your flac files as wma because you have to choose between various file formats actively before you download. No big deal though since they usually allow you multiple dl.

Of course there’s an important point for doing this: You don’t need additional free space in bookshelves to store discs for which you probably have no more use once they have been transferred into lossless audio files.

I use them a lot pretty good prices (much better than HD Tracks in the UK) and pretty straightforward.

Yeah, I got two rare tracks from the 2nd Metronomy album that are basically unavailable elsewhere.

Maybe the first time, but not twice, I even kept a screen print to send them. Their website needs work, my reading skills are not in question.

I am really loving Qobuz. I used the free streaming service for a fortnight and then when that ended I purchased "The Complete Doors" in 24 bit 96 kHz for £23. I also got the 24bit albums "Kind of Blue" "In a Silent Way" for £8 each. And "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and Simon & Garfunkels "Greatest Hits" for £5 each. They have a Christmas sale on The Columbia legacy stuff at the moment.
But I love the fact that I can listen to any potential purchases via the streaminig service first to make sure I am getting what I want. So I subscribed to the cheapest option £5 a month (Computer streaming only). It is only 320 mp3 but easily good enough to decipher if the mastering is to my taste.

The context of my post which you quoted in part was the purchase cost. CD quality downloads are often the same price or even more expensive than the CD, because CDs are frequently discounted.

So instead of buying a $10 16/44 FLAC download, you can buy the CD for the same price, rip it and resell is for a few $.

    Claude,
that’s true, but very often also the opposite is true. ;-)
