:tiphat:Which is one of LZ's greatest musical moments.
At the same time "All My Love" is on the same album and well..

I will have to throw Rush into this mix. I don't rank the later years as high, but it's still pretty good stuff.

The first Rush album I claimed to be weak was Test For Echo in 1996. They had a good run though.

Two great albums! Particularly Naked (one of my favourites).

Mark Lanegan has never made an album that's less than very good.

    It's a glorified EP - it's not an album.

I like the Smiths albums. Not all songs are up to par, but the majority of them are very good.

Beatles (I love Beatles for Sale, not as big of a fan of Yellow Submarine, but wouldn't call it weak . . .)

Every Simon & Garfunkel album I've heard has been great and most are downright brilliant.

The Police- All their albums are strong.
The Beatles- Even some of their weaker ones had classic songs.
X- I think all are very strong

The Cars - Door To Door is considered their weakest but it isn't that bad of an album.
The Alan Parsons Project - IMO all their albums are pretty good, I can't really pick out a clear masterpiece but I also can't name a bad one either.

ABBA maybe made half a weak album, the others are great.

Edit: I have to concur on Simon & Garfunkel.

  21. I wouldn't put LZ in that category at all. LZ had their weak albums--every band I can think of has had at least one.

Are you calling us peasants or peanuts? Spell check helps with attitude....

Squeeze is a VU album in name only, period. And before anyone claims that's a cheap cop out used by diehard fans trying to convince themselves that The Velvet Underground had a flawless discography, I'll just throw this out there: no original members were involved, and it was only marketed as a Velvet Underground album (as opposed to a Doug Yule solo record) to boost sales (oh, the multi-faceted irony!).

X is tough because I love them too but "Ain't Love Grand" is not a good record, "See How We Are" is only slightly better and "Hey Zeus" is better left forgotten

I'd say Boston - but they had to come back and make some albums after the 70's.
