    RIP, Joe.

Got to see him perform once, at the 1994 Woodstock festival.

At one time, I was a huge Joe Cocker fan. I loved everything up through "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" after that that, he kind of lost me. RIP Joe.

It's a sad day for someone who bought his albums and saw him perform in Malmo, Sweden once. He seemed the atypical big rock character without the big rock ego. From all I read and heard, it's amazing and fortunate we had him around this long.

    RIP Joe

Sad to hear. Grew up with Wonder Years, started my love for Mr. Cocker! Great singer, a bit underrated by critics, but always loved him. RIP

Andy Smith .....Like a good pinch of snuff......

His granddad had an adjoining allotment to my granddad. Used to see Joe Cocker knocking about Crookes all the time. You could always tell when he was home from a gig as there was a battered hand-painted psychedelic Transit parked outside his house. I was at the Top Rank once and he got up on stage with Hinkley's Heroes. They were stunned but they rolled with it. Joe's belting away, turns and wanders from the mic to the side of the drums. Throws up , then ambles back to continue with the song. Too funny. Drummer's mincing about as he's got Cocker puke swimming round his feet. An absolute diamond rock 'n' roll moment for me. I loved him to bits. An 'I was there...' classic. Another Sheffield legend gone. RIP ol' fella.
