Not when it comes to Rock N Roll.

R.I.P. I hope he's feelin' alright in the afterlife.

cosmicdancer Doin' it to you in 3D! So Groovy that I dig me.

What a shock. I had no idea he was sick. I was born in 1980, so my first exposure to Joe was him singing With a Little Help from My Friends as the theme song to one of my childhood favorite tv shows "The Wonder Years". Once I got a bit older and really dug into his early stuff, I fell in love with his music. For me, he may be the best rock song interpreter of all time. Even if he wasn't a prolific writer, he chose great material and sang the hell out of it. That's not always easy to do well. I have no issue saying that his version of With a Little Help from My Friends dwarves the Beatles version.

    R.I.P., Joe.

Never saw him live or interviewed him, sadly. I did go to his restaurant once when he lived here in Colorado. The greats are just disappearing.

    Ah, sad.

I saw Joe with the Grease Band in a club when they opened for the Buddy Rich orchestra and The Who in May 1969.
They were just getting rolling here. He (and they) were very good.

He was one of those guys that lived longer than I would have expected. RIP Joe.

One of the greatest song interpreters and performers of all time. I was at the Lowell, Massachusetts show where the Joe Cocker Live album was recorded. One of the best concerts I have ever attended.

    Saddens me.

Luckily got to hear him perform in Austin, Tx. at the first annual Barn Dance and BBQ in 1974.

I'll put on Woodstock tonight in tribute.

    RIP Joe

I was lucky to have seen Joe with the Grease Band just after Woodstock, and then again with a Chris Stainton-led band in 1972. I shot this at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, during the latter. RIP, Joe...

Very sad. Mad Dog and English men is a favorite movie and album. I listened to this album all the time back in the seventies.

    RIP Mr Cocker
